The North Routt Fire Protection District station natural log trusses and columns add detail to the simple forms of the fire station. It is constructed of natural materials and neutral colors to blend with its surroundings. The facility not only houses fire trucks, but it is also a training area, and an office. The program requirements were varied and the use of the areas had to be flexible.
