For the addition to the Mariani home, the client wanted a larger master suite, an exercise area with adjoining steam shower, a wet bar, and a reading area. Matching materials and forms were used to make the addition appear as if it had always been a part of the house. The mass of the building is stepped so its presence isn’t overpowering to the neighborhood or its surroundings.
