THE TRILLIUM HOUSE (2008)
The Trillium House at the Yampa Valley Botanic Park is an environmentally conscious project. Green-features include xeriscaping, a small building footprint, and installation of a photo voltaic system. The building’s location promotes pedestrian access and the building’s orientation captures views of the Yampa River. Energy conservation measures include a remote controlled system to turn heat on just prior to occupancy in the winter, while deep overhangs and specific window glazing will help maintain a comfortable atmosphere during summer months.
